Fértil presents "Asimétrico Remixes”
the Remixes album of
"Asimétrico" by El Remolón
In 2021, El Remolón released his album "Asimétrico". There, the producer worked with native instruments, in a folkloric expression not archetypical of defined traditional styles, where we could nevertheless trace the DNA of cumbia, vidala or chacarera. Simple uses of guitars, bombos legüeros and charangos were interwoven with criollo riffs and, when combined with electronic textures, generated a restorative, meditative and techno atmosphere at the same time. Between native experimental and global downtempo, the album featured several songs that followed each other as emotional passages.
Now, he added a series of producers from all over Latin America to make new versions of the album. In the same the Argentine producer Balam (Argentina) participates with acid and slow techno sounds, Mōique with two organic house versions of the already classic "Que Bailen y Los Pájaros", Mente Orgánica (Colombia) prints some sweet pianos to the already melancholic "Compadre" and El Remolón himself in combination with the dj Mica Towers proposed an accelerated version of bpms of the song "La Materia se ha dormido". Going towards the mountain range, Vudufa (Peru), gives an Afro-Peruvian air to the mystic Canal and Humano (Ecuador) goes towards a more electro sound reminiscent of the 80s.
Towards the end there is room for more experimental versions such as the one by producer and dancer Bicho on the track Asimétrico glitching Lauphan or Fertil's collaborating producer Sebaschiume (formerly Riki Etsu) on Mover el Cuerpo.
The album Asimétrico Remixes, will be available on December 16, 2022 through Fertil Discos. The cover art was illustrated by Jupa Erian using the original design of Ancherama and the design was in charge of Joaquín Chas.
About El Remolón
El Remolón is the alter ego of Andres Schteingart, an electronic music producer who experiments with Latin American rhythms such as cumbia, reggaeton and folklore and one of the pioneers of the movement called Cumbia Digital. El Remolón evolved by creating medium speed tracks with a slow but catchy sound. His forte has been mixing dub with digital hypnosis. As an artist of the Zizek team, he has released 9 records between albums and EPs and toured for almost 15 years, playing in clubs and festivals in more than 100 cities. He has collaborated with artists such as Pablo Lescano (Damas Gratis), Li Saumet (Bomba Estereo), Ale Sergi (Miranda!), Gotan Project and even Peruvian teenage youtube sensation Wendy Sulca. He currently runs Fertil Discos, a label oriented to spread and expand the frontiers of South American electronica with everything that encompasses and goes beyond the idea of organic electronica. He is presenting his latest album "Asimétrico" and his presentations include songs of his own authorship with remixes and songs from the popular Latin American songbook in electronic key.

About Fértil Discos
Fértil is an independent label founded in 2014, bringing together artists from the South American independent electronic scene. From the publication of records, compilations and production of events, Fértil proposes to unite Latin American popular music and electronic music, in pursuit of rereading traditions and understanding the everyday life of the Latin being. Among its more than 30 titles, El Camino de Leda, a tribute to Leda Valladares, albums by Barda, Mente Orgánica (Colombia), Humano (Ecuador), Pol Nada or Jin Yerei and collaborations with artists such as Chancha Via Circuito, Uji and La Charo, among others, stand out. Fértil presenta
“Asimétrico Remixes”
de El Remolón
En 2021, El Remolón lanzó su album “Asimétrico”. Allí el productor trabajó con instrumentos autóctonos, en una expresión folclórica no arquetípica de estilos tradicionales definidos, donde sin embargo pudimos rastrear el ADN de la cumbia, la vidala o la chacarera. Usos simples de guitarras, bombos legüeros y charangos se entreveraban en riffs criollos y, al combinarse con texturas electrónicas, generaban una atmósfera reparadora, meditativa y techno al mismo tiempo. Entre lo experimental nativo y el downtempo global, el álbum contó con varias canciones que se sucedían como pasajes emocionales.
Ahora, convocó a una serie de productorxs de toda latinoamérica para hacer nuevas versiones del disco. En el mismo participan el el productor argentino Balam (Argentina) con sonidos acid y slow techno, Mōique con dos versiones organic house de los ya clasicos “Que Bailen y Los Pájaros”, Mente Orgánica (Colombia) le imprime unos dulces pianos al ya melancólico “Compadre” y el mismo El Remolón en combinación con la dj Mica Towers propusieron una versión acelerada de bpms del tema “La Materia se ha dormido”. Yendo hacia la cordillera, Vudufa (Perú), le da un aire afroperuano al místico Canal y Humano (Ecuador) se va hacia un sonido más electro con reminiscencias a los 80.
Hacía el final hay espacio para versiones más experimentales como la de la productora y bailarina Bicho en el tema Asimétrico glitcheando a Lauphan o el productor colaborador de Fertil SebaSchiume (otrora Riki Etsu) en Mover el Cuerpo.
El disco Asimétrico Remixes, estará disponible el 16 de diciembre de 2022 a través de Fertil Discos. El arte de tapa estuvo a cargo de una ilustración a cargo de Jupa Erian retomando el diseño original de Ancherama y el diseño estuvo a cargo de Joaquín Chas.

Actualmente dirige Fertil Discos, un sello orientado a difundir y expandir las fronteras de la electrónica sudamericana con todo lo que se englobe y vaya más alla de la idea de electrónica orgánica. Se encuentra presentando su último disco “Asimétrico” y en sus presentaciones incluye temas de su propia autoría con remixes y temas del cancionero popular latinoamericano en clave electrónica.
